Vanessa Hudgens’s Latest Photo Scandal: Violation of Privacy or Publicity Stunt

Did Vanessa Hudgens not learn her lesson the first time nude photos of her leaked? Or has she been set up?

In September 2007, the "High School Musical" starlet hit headlines when pictures of her posing naked hit the internet. Despite speculation that she would be dumped by Disney, Hudgens publicly apologized for the "embarrassing" photos and Disney responded that they hoped she had "learned a valuable lesson."

Well, perhaps not. On Wednesday, more racy shots of what appear to be the 20-year-old surfaced. It is unclear whether these are new, Photoshopped or from the same controversial shoot as 2007.

Reps for Hudgens and Walt Disney did not respond for comment. Or maybe it's no surprise after all.

Hudgens is currently prepping to play a potty-mouthed hooker in her first "breakaway" Disney film entitled "Sucker Punch" and is busy doing the media rounds for her new family-friendly flick "Bandslam." So even though such controversy isn’t exactly ideal for the tween pin-up and girlfriend of Zac Efron, it may successfully propel her career in the "adult" stratosphere.

"Vanessa wants to raise her visibility and become an 'A' lister, so by posing Vanessa is shedding her Disney image and becoming a serious actress," Hollywood’s leading image consultant Michael Sands said. "Vanessa feels her career is being held back and she wants to be ‘en vogue’."

Nonetheless, a source close to Hudgens told Tarts that she refuses to discuss the ordeal and is humiliated by the expose.

The fresh slate of scandalous snaps (reportedly leaked from Hudgen’s BlackBerry) also raises the question of privacy and whether it is fair for her to have to take the heat for something that appears to have taken place in her own private place and time. So while fame sure does have its ups, it has plenty of downs too.

Vanessa Hudgens isn’t very smart or perhaps it’s just that she’s not classy.  Her timing is very interesting…..these leaked nude pictures of her are just in time for her new movie,  Bandslam premiering in a week.  Coincidental?  I think not.

I do believe this girl thinks the only way she can land a role or get the attention she so desires is with her naked body on display.  I have no respect for her.  Vanessa needs a reality check and quick before the next “leak” occurs.
